Our family went to this little cafe twice while we were in Wellington. Both times it was pumping. We had great food and great service. Fast & Friendly. Would definitely come back & will recommend to everyone we know. Dunedin-ites.

This place has been on the Terrace in Wellington since the early 1960s and has had several owners. Its formula is simple and successful: comfort food and plenty of it; nothing sophisticated

Super friendly staff and a good old fashioned kiwi cafe
I love this place and have been coming here for over 10 years. The staff are so friendly, they always make you feel welcome. The decor is very basic, but the food is excellent - fantastic fresh sandwiches (a huge variety), really yummy pie selection and tons of fabulous cakes, muffins and scones. The coffee is pretty good too

Had breakfast today, fantastic service. Poached eggs cooked just right and coffe was ok. Fantastic value too for a cbd location.

Good old fashioned cafe
Friendly staff, and good old fashioned pies, sandwiches and burgers. The mince on toast with cheese will keep you going until dinner. They always have daily specials like schnitzel and osso bucco. Relaxed and informal and filled with early morning commuters networking or simply priming themselves for the day ahead.

Best pies
Probably one of the better cheap eats in that area. Nothing over the top fancy especially if you're only looking for a pie. Their pies are really good, too! I recommend pepper steak but if you go in around lunchtime they tend to be sold out by then. Staff are really nice by the way. Always in a good mood.

This place is my go to for all things food. Awesome service and amazing omelettes. Their sausages are the largest and most impressive sausages. Consider this cafe the capital of the sausage world. Prepare to be both impressed and slightly threatened when you order one.
